THINK serves children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing complex academic, behavioral and/or emotional problems.  â€‹In serving our clients, THINK strives to increase achievement for children, adolescents, and adults; improve parenting skills and behavior management techniques for parents; cultivate the acquisition of alternative teaching and classroom management strategies for teachers; foster healthy relationships between parents and children; increase awareness of psychological contributors to learning, behavior, and emotional problems; help actualize an overall better quality of life for individuals with whom we work; and nurture the community that we serve.  

 
Diagnostic Evaluations

THINK is a premier provider of testing and evaluation services for children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing academic, behavioral, and/or emotional difficulties.  Evaluation reports are often times used as integral components in securing special education services, individual education plans (IEP's), as well as Division of Developmental Disabilities benefits.

Evaluation options include the following:

  • psychological assessment of children, adolescents, and adults

  • specialized evaluations for non-verbal children, adolescents, and adults

  • specialized psycho-educational evaluations of children suspected of

       having a learning disability

 

Therapy

THINK provides culturally competent effective delivery of professional therapeutic services to help meet the needs of children, adolescents, and adults from variety of socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds who are experiencing difficulties negotiating life's daily challenges.

Therapy options include the following:

  • individual counseling

  • group counseling

  • family counseling

 

Consultation and Intervention Development

THINK applies and extends specialized behavioral health knowledge through the process of consultation to parents, teachers, school and district personnel, and related service providers to help facilitate the development of solutions to problems in a variety of areas.

Consultation options include the following:

  • participation on school-based multidisciplinary teams

  • referral to and collaboration with appropriate community-basedagencies or resources

  • academic and behavioral consultation with parents, teachers, school personnel,

       and related service providers
